For Teachers
The WSA is so grateful to all of our teachers for everything you do! On this page you will find resources that we hope will help facilitate communication and allow us to best support you. Please let us know if you have feedback about other things you'd like to see on this teacher page!
Help Spread the Word to Parents
If you maintain a class website, would you mind including a link to our WSA site in your "useful links" section? We try to reach parents from many different directions (website, Facebook, monthly Wolf Pack Wire, info tables at events, e-blasts) and links from your pages (or weekly emails) would add one more way to connect. You can use www.whitehillsparents.org. Thank you!
Teacher Grants
Each academic year, the WSA provides grants of up to $100 for each teacher (including specials teachers), the school librarian, interventionists, and school social worker. Receipts can be left in the WSA mailbox and a reimbursement check will be issued by the WSA treasurer. No special paperwork or other form is needed!
Teacher grants can be used for materials, supplies, books, even snacks to keep on hand for your students - anything to help your classroom! |
Requests for Financial Assistance
Sometimes you may have a request that exceeds the $100 grant. This may be to purchase equipment, subscribe to a class set of magazines, or invite a special guest to a classroom. The WSA is happy to consider such requests, always keeping in mind pre-approved line items and other budget constraints.
In order to streamline and systematize requests for funding (aside from the $100 classroom grants, which do not require a form), we ask that you complete this request form and either turn it in to the WSA mailbox or scan and email it to us. Please plan ahead and submit the form at least one month ahead of the expenditure so we have time to put the request on the agenda for the WSA meeting that month and notify you if it is approved.

"Part of the Pack"
In 2017, we began an initiative called "Part of the Pack" to help students in need. The WSA will provide funds to help the identified students enjoy school activities to the fullest. Each student in the program will receive: a Spirit Wear shirt, books from the fall and spring Scholastic Book Fairs, Movie Night entry, a Carnival wristband, a yearbook, and any requested field trip contributions.
The front office and school social worker will confidentially identify students for these assistance programs, but please feel free to suggest names, since you know your students and their situations best! In addition, if a student's circumstances change during the year and it seems he or she could use assistance, please let the office know so we can help. |
Wolf Pack Wire
The Wolf Pack Wire is the WSA's monthly newsletter. This is our regular print format communication with parents, because we recognize that not all parents are online regularly. On or around the first Friday of each month, you will receive copies in your mail box - thank you for distributing them to your students. Past copies are archived here.
Since 2016, we feature student writing in the Wolf Pack Wire! If you have a budding journalist in your class who may be interested in writing an event review (encouraging fellow Wolves to come to an upcoming event), a paragraph about a cool thing to do in the community, an interview with a staff member, a story, or something else, we’d love to hear from you with the student's name so we can contact the parents.
